I’m the school social worker. I am ecstatic to continue my career as a school social worker and work with you, your family, and most importantly your child!
First, I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little about me. I grew up on a farm and graduated high school in 2011. I moved to Evansville, IN and completed both my Bachelors and Masters degree in Social Work. I have a deep passion for helping all students juggle all their roles, responsibilities, and struggles. In high school and college, I was heavily involved in sports, and extracurricular activities such as the orientation leader team, student ambassador organization, honor societies, and Greek life. In my free time, I enjoy catching up on my T.V. shows, making t-shirts, and wishing I had an alpaca or a llama.
This will be my 6th full year as a school social worker-time is flying! I am so honored I get to share in this experience with you and your child! You might be wondering what some of my job duties will include:
*Work with all students to develop a culture of trust and respect

*Meet individually with students for brief, solution-focused counseling

*Facilitate small groups

*Help students make positive behavior choices

*Collaborate with parents, teachers, aides, support staff, and administration

*Provide education and resources

*Be available virtually through text and call for remote students

*Maintain confidentiality of student information (unless there is a safety concern)
